Swami samarth is known as an Indian spiritual of the Dattatreya tradition. He is also known as a swami of akkalkot and lived during the nineteenth century. His traditions are also followed in today’s time in many different states such as Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. 

He is one of those few people. Who’s origin place is unknown. But there is a very famous story related to this. Which states that when one of his disciples asked him about his origin place. Then the swami samarth responded back to him saying that he originated from a banyan tree in kardali forests, Srisailam. Which in present time is Andhra Pradesh.
